Hey everybody!

Thanks to all who came to the show, and to the Firebird for having us. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to meet some new friends. Bad Flirt delivered a tightly wound set of powerpop with flourishes of strings and punchy guitar, and Cotton Jones sat us on our asses with some amazing grooves and soaring melodies. Two great bands + one awesome venue + us = Awesome Monday!

We’ll post some photos shortly… maybe some video, too? We’ll see. 🙂

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Townes Van Zandt tribute show. It was a lot of fun, we got to meet a bunch of cool other bands and hopefully we made some new fans in the process.

We are playing this Saturday at Off Broadway as part of the Townes Van Zandt tribute show, which is also a benefit for KDHX 88.1 FM.

The music starts at 8 p.m. and it is a $10 cover, which goes toward KDHX. We play EARLY (second of the night, actually) and will only be playing 3 songs, so be sure to get there as close to 8 as you can – we play at 8:15.

The line-up for this Saint Louis-area tribute to Townes will be: Chris Johnson, Ben Bedford, the Poorhouse Says, Cassie Morgan, Corey Saathoff, the Funky Butt Brass Band, Auset, May Day Orchestra, Brothers Lazaroff, Theodore and Rough Shop.E

Edit: The RFT has an article about the show!
