The Dive Poets are a rock band from St. Louis, Missouri. For those that prefer a little more categorization in their descriptions, you could classify them as “melodic roots-rock” or “alt-country”. Formed in 2008, the Dive Poets have maintained a busy performance schedule, building a reputation for tight live shows, which helped to garner them a nomination for “Best Indie Band” in the 2010 Riverfront Times Music Awards. In 2010 the band released their debut EP, The Good and the Light, which was named one of the top ten local EPs of the year by The Riverfront Times, and gained airplay on local radio station KDHX (www.kdhx.org).

Hey, DPs.
I heard a track off the new one on KDHX over the weekend and really, really liked it. I wasn’t in the car long enough to hear the name, but if the rest of the record is as good as that track…well…
We played with you at the Tupes Tribute a month or so ago. I liked what I heard then. Very cool to hear you in a polished format. Hope to hear you guys again soon.
